Based out of their city centre offices in Exeter and operating a modern, hybrid workplace, join a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and work with companies with a handful of users, all the way up to large enterprise sized businesses, educationalorganisations, and charities with thousands of users worldwide.

They are looking for a Second Line - Cloud and Infrastructure engineer to join the team.


What's needed


Acting as an escalation point for the first line engineers' the second line team are great trouble-shooters who work to strict SLA's by prioritising their workload and using their excellent customer service and IT skills to maintain a high level of customersatisfaction.


As a second line engineer, your experience and skills will have shifted from desktop / user / app support to more complex systems such as server, network, and cloud-based infrastructure.


In this role you will be able to progress your career through their unique Tech Band programme and work with their Enterprise, Security and Modern Workplace project delivery teams.

On commencement, they will work with you to create a personal developmentplan and identify and roadmap your progression path and will work with you to adapt this as you develop.


You'll have:


  • A minimum of 5 years experience with at least 2 years within an MSP environment
  • A wide knowledge of supporting multiple external networks with a range of onpremises and cloud technology with a wide exposure to common 3rd party vendors.
  • General network and server administration /troubleshooting
  • Windows server, VMware/ Hyper-V, Exchange, AD, GP, DHCP, DNS
  • Cloud hosted solutions (Office 365/ Azure). Service and support
  • SharePoint & Modern Workplace knowledge
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications are desirable and demonstrate your focus on personal development.
  • Full lifecycle project experience (i.e. migrations / upgrades / service packs)
  • Virtualisation technology
  • Have a good understanding of various hardware components, for example, Servers, Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage.
  • Be able to provide a clear DBS (criminal record) check
