We are looking for a highly organised Payroll Officer to join our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing full admin support to the Payroll Manager and payroll officer on all payroll responsibilities across the UK and ROI.


Requirements:


Payroll Process:


  • To process salary adjustments for starters, leavers and contract changes
  • Processing the time and attendance system
  • Assessing sick payments
  • Ensuring all employees are paid in a time and accurately
  • Manage the payroll inbox which involves liaising with all employees across Head Office and Stores
  • Process HMRC documentation
  • Responsible for processing/assessing pensions
  • Support department in the absence of payroll manager
  • Organising payroll data in an accessible
  • To ensure accurate records of all relevant paperwork are maintained effectively
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required

Customer Service

  • Deal with employee queries about pay dates, absences and enquiries regarding pay amounts and escalating them to the Payroll Manager as appropriate.
  • Proficient in dealing with queries with different levels of employees including both Stores and Head Office
  • Maintain a professional and helpful manner when dealing with queries and responding in a timely manner

Skills and Experience:


  • Ability to analyse payroll data via multiple spread sheets is essential for this role
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and on own
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Knowledge of current HMRC legislation
