Description

Main duties and responsibilities The clinical fellows will be required to perform clinical work on the medical wards and on AMU, both as the first doctor to see patients who present to a busy urban emergency department and managing patients on the ward and in the ambulatory setting.

The appointees will work closely with the admitting general medical and the multidisciplinary team, supervising the work of more junior staff.

The post holders will be expected to contribute to the performance of administrative duties on the medical wards - such as checking radiology reports and microbiology results - and to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the service, as required.

It is envisaged that the appointees would share the running of the multidisciplinary team meetings with the medical consultants.

The appointees will be expected to undertake audits and encouraged to take on clinical research projects depending on their interests.
