OSI Food Solutions are seeking a Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

  • Salary: £22,908 plus 10% Shift Allowance
  • Hours of work: 15: Monday till Thursday and 15:15 till 19:30 Fridays
  • Overtime as and when required
  • 21 days holiday up to 27 after 5 years of service
Key Responsibilities

  • To lead, motivate & encourage the team, ensuring job rotation & satisfaction
  • Organise and document all workplace training for all team members to ensure employee development & increase flexibility of the of the team.
  • To ensure that you enforce the requirements of the OSI Quality Management System appropriate to your role and responsibilities.
  • Carry out workplace assessments to identify potential hazards, corrective actions, & measures to reduce the risk of injury in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of your team.
  • To liaise with other Team Leaders to maximise the effectiveness of all the teams ensuring production efficiencies and targets are met with no detriment to product safety or quality.
  • To undertake a variety of project/improvement activities as requested by the Shift Manager to provide new ideas or solutions to any problems that may arise so that production output is maximized without sacrifice to quality.
  • To complete all relevant documentation associated with your role in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To ensure that any paperwork completed by your team is accurate, legible and appropriate.
  • To carry out disciplinary investigations and hearings as required in conjunction with HR to ensure company policies & procedures are followed.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are adhered to within the work environment to promote a safe working regime that complies with legislation and the requirements of the company and its customers.
  • To organise the daily activities of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the work area including holiday and absence planning.
  • To provide appropriate cover for the Shift Manager/Shift Leader during his/her absence to ensure the smooth operation of the Production Department.
  • To maintain and improve productivity, efficiencies and quality in order to reduce the overall conversion cost.
  • Assist new colleagues to integrate into the role and the business
  • Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures including Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation requirements.
  • As an employee, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires you to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work.
