Location:
The role is remote within the UK but will require occasional travel for meetings.


If you join us, this is what your day to day will look like:

  • Monitor and optimise database performance, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the databases, including implementing security protocols and performing regular backups.
  • Stay up to date with new technology and industry developments, specifically with Azure SQLasaService, and make recommendations for incorporating them into the organisation's database infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments, such Site Reliability, DevOps. Platform and Developer Engineers to ensure the smooth operation of the organisation's databases.
  • Implement and manage changes to the database infrastructure, including schema changes, upgrades, and migrations and migrations, utilising Azure SQLasaService.
  • Provide technical support to endusers for databaserelated issues.

You will play a vital role in the organisation, ensuring the smooth operation and security of the organisation's databases. This position requires a strong level of technical expertise.

A DBA must be able to ensure the organisation's databases are performing at their best and implement changes to the database infrastructure efficiently and effectively, specifically utilising Azure SQL-as-a-Service.


You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Multiple years of experience in an DBA Role
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and SQL, specifically Azure SQLasaService
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimisation
  • Experience with database security and compliance
  • Experience in database change management
