    Overview

    At THA, we are committed to developing players and coaches through a modern, holistic approach to football education.

    As a Lead Football Coach, you will play a central role in planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging sessions that inspire player development across all age groups. You will lead by example, uphold professional standards, and contribute to a positive, learning-focused environment that supports both players and coaches in reaching their potential.

    We are looking for a Lead Coach to work at both our Horsforth & Pudsey Venues

    Key Responsibilities

    ● Deliver High-Quality Sessions

    Deliver our structured, age-appropriate sessions aligned with THA's annual coaching curriculum.

    Integrate technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development within every session.

    ● Lead & Support Coaching Teams

    Oversee assistant coaches, providing guidance and constructive feedback. Act as a role model for professional behaviour, communication, and player interaction.

    ● Develop Players Holistically

    Monitor and assess player progress through observation, feedback, and evaluation tools.

    Promote teamwork, respect, and resilience, creating an inclusive and positive atmosphere.

    ● Develop players in conjunction with our Player Analyst and unique Player Metric System, ensuring individual progress is tracked and supported through data-led feedback.

    ● Ensure Professional Standards

    Maintain safe working practices in line with safeguarding and health & safety policies. Support matchday organisation, session planning, and player management.

    ● Collaborate with THA Leadership

    Share ideas, contribute to programme development, and help refine THA's football curriculum and methodology.

    Attend internal training and workshops designed to support your growth as a modern football coach.

    Essential Skills & Qualifications

    ● Minimum UEFA C Licence

    ● UEFA B Licence (Desirable).

    ● Proven experience leading or assisting in youth coaching environments.

    ● Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    ● Understanding of long-term player development models.

    ● Valid DBS certificate.Desirable Attributes

    ● Previous experience within an academy coaching environment.

    ● Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional growth.

    Working Hours & Locations

    We currently run sessions on Saturday mornings at Horsforth School and Pudsey Leisure Centre.

    This is a part-time position, with opportunities for additional hours as THA continues to grow with new classes and venues.
