Based in Derby, Derbyshire, but hybrid with only 2 days in the office, our PE backed highly successful client is looking for a qualified accountant to join them as FP&A Manager.


This job would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with experience in Transactions Services to be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning and budgeting, to monitor the financial health of the business and support development of the businessstrategies.

Alongside the core task around forecasts and budgeting, you will be required to provide robust and insightful analysis to the key stakeholders of the business across a wide range of areas.


This company has seen significant growth in recent years and, although the Covid years created challenges, they have weathered the storm well and have seen a strong bounce back with continued future growth in the pipeline.

The business has a varied and complimentaryportfolio of products with a varied and loyal customer base so there are strong strategic plans in place to push the business forward in the coming years.


The successful individual will be a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with relevant post qualification experience, within private equity or similarly leveraged business would be advantageous.

You will have strong Excel skills, including data analysis (e.g.,pivot tables, lookups) and financial modelling with strong report writing skills.

This person will be commercially focused with an attention to detail, and strong analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box.


Job responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the excel forecast model used to prepare forecast and high level sensitivity analysis.
  • Preparation of quarterly forecasting, longer range plans and the annual budgeting process.
  • Strengthen existing processes and financial models to improve the value of outputs and ensure their robustness.
  • Delivering meaningful financial analysis across a wide range of operation areas, for the purpose of providing key insight into performance and support decisionmaking within the business.
  • Be part of the preparation of monthly reporting packs and board presentations outlining key financial performance metrics.
  • Understand the key financial levers of the business and provide ongoing sensitivity analysis and support risk management and help the business.
  • One direct report in the form of a Business Partner
  • Ownership of financial tracking and forecast monitoring for key financial projects.
  • Production of highquality reports and information decks for senior stakeholders in the business.
  • Refine and improve existing processes and challenge outputs to create relevant, valueadding analysis for use by the business.
  • Play an active role in supporting the large transformation projects ongoing in both the financial team and the wider business
