Young Citizens is a national charity working to promote citizenship education and social action throughout primary and secondary education in the UK.


The
Learning Resources Officer will play an integral role within the Learning and Programmes Team primarily through supporting the development of Young Citizens resource libraries for both primary and secondary schools.

The post-holder will responsible for reviewing, updating and maintaining the content of our resource libraries as well as supporting with the growth and engagement of our subscribing teachers.

As such they will play a major role in ensuring we meet out the ambitious targets set out in our recently launched five year strategy - Lighting the Spark.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • _
    Monitor, review and update the existing content of Young Citizens three main resource libraries_ _to ensure they remain of the highest quality, support the wider Young Citizens mission and complies with Young Citizens branding guidelines._
- _Work with the Education Manager to _
identify any gaps in resource provision and generate new content_ _as agreed to fill these gaps._
- _Work alongside the Communications and Digital Marketing team to _
support with the creation of effective communication campaigns_
- _Communicate with subscribing teachers to _
gather insight into their use of our resources_, using surveys to _
improve our knowledge of how they are used _and _
developing blogs and case studies_ _to encourage others to subscribe._
- _Support the Education Manager and the Communications and Digital Marketing Manager on The Big Legal Lesson campaign, helping them to _
grow our campaign year-on-year._

The ideal Learning Resources Officer _will_previous experience of_
teaching and/or programme delivery to primary and/or secondary aged children_ _in mainstream settings and experience of _
writing and developing learning resources for primary and/or secondary_ _aged children._

£26,000.00 per year
