Horsham Football Club has been at the heart of the community for 137 years, bringing the town to national prominence through its FA Cup exploits against Notts County, Swindon Town, and in more recent times Swansea City.

All of our first and other team home games will be played at our purpose-built ground.


Job Title:
Bar Supervisor

Permanent - 35 hours per week worked across Monday to Sunday. The club is focussed on employees having a good work life balance.

Salary is dependent on experience


Job Purpose:
To assist the Stadium Manager in the day-to-day running of the bar, catering and clubhouse and its staff.

To deputise in the Stadium Manager's absence and to work as part of a team to ensure an excellent experience day-to-day, on match days and at all other events.

Key requirements of the role include but are not limited to

  • To assist with resourcing to ensure the club is manned appropriately at all times for match days and planned events
  • To reconcile the incoming cash each week
  • To deputise in the absence of the Stadium Manager ensuring that the club runs smoothly
  • To assist in event management including the preparation
  • Ensuring there are appropriate staffing levels at events
  • Running events from start to finish
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Maintaining great relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring staff operate safe practices to ensure their safety and that of visitors
Key skills required for the role

  • At least one year's supervisory experience
  • Two years bar/catering experience preferred but not essential
  • Hardworking, flexible
  • Great customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Numerate
People Skills
Must be a people-person

  • Enthusiastic
  • Proactive with a cando attitude
  • Tactful and approachable
  • Flexible, reliable and adaptable to change
  • Ability to work well under pressure
You should be a skilled communicator and interpersonal skills and work well as part of a team.
