Venn Group are currently working with an Educational Group in South Oxfordshire to recruit a Senior Finance Officer to join a newly structured finance team.

Reporting to CFO, the role will work in conjunction with the current Senior Finance Officer, to provide a knowledgeable and informative finance service to the group.

Some of the key duties:

Complete the weekly and monthly reconciliation of all the bank accounts
Monitor and review all forms of income
Produce capitation reports for all budget holders, and highlight areas of concern each month and ensure any overspends are notified appropriately
Prepare the regular VAT Return and prepare regular BACS payments
Contribute to the completion of monthly Management Accounts and other reports including the monthly closedown timetable

You will require to have an understanding of double entry bookkeeping and be confident in processing VAT entries, bank reconciliations, and producing basic spend reports.

It would be ideal that you are working towards an accountancy qualification whetherthat be AAT or higher (CIMA/ACCA).
