Ground Control are on a mission to help the UK become Carbon Neutral by 2050 and are currently looking for an Electrical Surveyor to join our eMobility Infrastructure Team.

Our Electric Vehicle eMobility Infrastructure Team is growing and requires an Electrical Surveyor to help design, plan and deliver electric vehicle infrastructure projects across the UK for it's ever-growing client base.

Who are we looking for?


We are looking for qualified electricians who will scope, design and plan EV charging infrastructure projects across the UK, allowing successful handover to the Project Engineer for efficient works delivery.

Once settled, further opportunities will arise within the EV division, enabling an exciting and continuous career path within Ground Control.

The role will have the following responsibilities.

  • Play a pivotal role in delivering EV vehicle infrastructure with both commercial and residential clients.
  • Managing and building key relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, clients, channel partners and electrical Field Teams.
  • Sourcing new Field Teams across the UK to enable successful delivery of contracts.
  • Consistent use and development of internal systems to deliver accurate and informative site surveys.
  • Assisting works delivery where required by the Project Engineer
  • Managing and taking ownership of the scope of EV vehicle charge point installations, ensuring works can be delivered to a safe and profitable level.
  • Management of longterm relationships with our existing client base, including weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings where required.
  • Travel across the UK / overnight stays

Experience/Skills Required

  • Must be a fully qualified Electrical Engineer/Electrician
  • Demonstrable experience of managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a good understanding of costs and KPIs
  • Full 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Understanding/experience of LV/Commercial work
  • A valid clean EU/UK driving license
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and train others
  • Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
