Job summary:


The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities is driving forward the Government's key priority to level up every part of the United Kingdom, creating opportunity for everyone, regardless of where they live, and putting UK citizens at the heart of our work.

We aim to provide quick and helpful answers to correspondence and parliamentary questions.

The Parliamentary and Correspondence teams handle the Department's replies to correspondence and parliamentary questions on behalf of Ministers, and we are looking for one sub-team leader to oversee and boost our performance.

This role will hold responsibility for a specific sub-team within the unit, working in Ministerial correspondence.


Job description:


This role will include:
- setting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and development
- using data and feedback to understand and drive performance
- delivering our improvement strategy
- fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
- managing a small team responsible for delivering correspondence
- managing relationships with Ministerial offices and policy teams
- quality assurance of team's work
- ensuring a consistently high standard of Ministerial correspondence, taking account of individual Ministers' preferences
