Driver Hire (Torbay) are looking for van drivers on an ad-hoc basis who can drive up to a 3.5 tonne (Cat B) vehicle for our clients based within the Newton Abbot area to deliver their goods to Cornwall, Devon & sometimes beyond.


We are a driving agency, and we supply drivers to local businesses who require a qualified driver to cover absences of their regular drivers along with sickness and holidays.

Sometimes this is for a single day, but mostly it's for a week or even on an ongoing basis during busy periods such as the summer months or the lead up to Christmas.


We are the UK's number one driving agency, we have many clients within the Newton Abbot area who book drivers regularly so there is no shortage of work.

Full training is given, and you'll be using our clients' vehicles.


About the various roles

  • Start between 04:00 & 09:00 usually with job till finish.
  • Pay from £11.21 & £13.45 per hour with weekend work (PAYE Adv)
  • PAYE with limited companies pay options.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Discounted CPC (you may wish to upgrade your licence to enable you to drive a 7.5T commercially).
  • Varied work available depending on your ability, skill set and preferences.
  • Part/full time positions with flexible working hours.

Requirements.

  • A full and valid Category B licence.
  • No more than 6 points & no DR,DD or IN convictions for insurance purposes.
  • The ability to lift and carry as well as move freely in and out of the vehicle, in all weather conditions is necessary due to the physical nature of this role.
  • Your own transport is essential to get to and from work.
  • Working mobile phone.
