An opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Machine Setter/Operator to join our Tape Production Department.

Applicants must have previous experience of setting and operating complex production machinery and be able to demonstrate an understanding of mechanical fixtures and using hand tools including vernier calipers.

The keys to success in this role are:

ensure the safe set up and operation of our bespoke machinery and equipment, completing all required steps to manufacture flawless carrier tape

- ensure the quality of finished product meets set targets with regards to quality, quantity, and timescales required
- effective report writing of all issues with machines or product; traceability of our customers product is essential
- excellent troubleshooting skills; an eye for fine detail; good dexterity and the ability to demonstrate a consistently high standard of work
- experience working with vernier calipers to ensure accurate measurements of our customers product

**Who your customers will be:
- **Your internal customers will be fellow colleagues within the Tape & Reel Department, where you will provide a consistent standard of Carrier Tape product to meet their requirements.

Your external customers will vary from medical, automotive to electronic; and it is these important customers who will be supplied with the product that
you make.

What your key skills and experiences are:

have proven engineering and/or manufacturing experience
this bit it essential

- knowledge of safe machine practice standards and a hands on approach to setting up and running machines
- ability to understand and implement technical instruction from manuals, to receive instruction from the intense training given by our Production Manager
- ability to do small to moderate repairs on machinery and demonstrate experience in working with machinery
- to demonstrate pragmatic approach to problem solving
- ability to demonstrate using tools including vernier calipers

Additional Details:

Dayshift/Backshift Rotating Hours 6am 2pm, & 2pm
Midnight 40 hours per week it means you have a 3 day weekend every two weeks
A comprehensive training plan will be included as part of this position
Training will initially be carried out during dayshift hours minimum of 2 weeks and does not include shift allowance
Pension provided by AEGON above the government standard minimum

- £25,819.73 total annual salary inclusive of shift allowance on successful completion of training and on adopting shift pattern
