Anderson Knight are looking to recruit a Planner on a full time permenant basis for one of our clients in Glasgow.
Position Overview:
As a Facilities Management Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and schedules to optimise the utilization of resources, streamline operations, and enhance the overall performance of facilities.
Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including maintenance technicians, facility managers, and clients, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management plans, including preventive maintenance schedules, equipment replacement strategies, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with facility managers, clients, and maintenance teams to understand operational requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Conduct regular facility assessments to identify maintenance needs, repair/replacement requirements, and potential risks.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing, ensuring mínimal disruption to facility operations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor and track work orders, ensuring their timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Analyse facility performance data, identify areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance records, reports, and service contracts.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulations related to facilities management planning.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities management planning, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting.
- Strong understanding of facility operations, maintenance practices, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software tools.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
