Description

Travel consultant Part time Wednesday to Friday + 1 in 4 Staurday mornings - Required to work for this expanding travel business based in Cambridge that mainly sells two river boat products as well as package holidays. They are looking for an experienced travel consultant with some cruise knowledge and will pay up to £23,000 pro rata plus bonus and benefits.

Travel consultants duties

Answer incoming booking enquiries from the trade and direct customers.
Handling all booking reservations and customer administration follow up
Dynamic packaging for bespoke customer proposals
Outbound sales calls

Coordinating internal sales administration
Handling customer payments and chasing monies due
Identify crosssell opportunities and additional revenue opportunities
Pursue and drive revenue growth in line with the business's aim whilst meeting a variety of sales targets/goals
Keep up to date with all company's products, campaigns and services through selflearning, completing online training courses and attendance at training events
Attend educational overseas trips and provide feedback to colleagues

Travel consultants skills required

Min 2 years travel experience and cruise knowledge is essential
Knowledge & ability to provide tailormade services
Good working knowledge of and, ideally, personal experience of longhaul destinations in particular USA
Natural ability to build a rapport with customers over the telephone
Selfmotivated with a cando attitude and committed approach
Enthusiastic & confident
