Highfields College is a Pupil Referral Unit for Y7 to Y11 students who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from mainstream schools.
Many of the students are expected to stay at Highfields for two/three terms, then return to a mainstream school or transfer to a specialist provision.
Our aim is to re-engage students in education, enabling them to return to school or to move on to successful post 16 placements.
Often the education packages are personalised to suit individual needs and include a variety of other interventions as part of a full wrap around service.
Highfields College is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Mentor in our Emotional Well-Being Team. The successful applicants will be responsible for championing emotional well-being / / mental health across the school. There would also be some element of administrative work to complete.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
