Salary:
£52,084+ Dependent of skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Working with Internal and External Stakeholders to understand and shape requirements of the business
  • Exploring innovative commercial solutions that enable us to deliver compelling proposals and provide acceptable returns to the business (solutions could include those in technology and software fields and agile environments)
  • Ensuring commercial involvement and input to early stages of the programme lifecycle
  • Preparing and drafting commercial bids and proposals including terms and conditions, whilst working cross functionally with Finance, Legal, Engineering and Project Management to ensure the most effective commercial solutions
  • Negotiating with and influencing internal and external Stakeholders with focus on the contracts, payment profiles and IPR (intellectual Property Rights)
  • Ensuring appropriate flow down of obligations and risks to partners and suppliers
  • Manage a small team of professional individuals ensuring best practice and leading by example
  • Working across multiple national and international locations e.g Italy, Japan. There is a high level of travel which is essential for this role

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Experience of complex and high value negotiations with high profile Stakeholders
  • Proven knowledge and experience of commercial activities in the early product lifecycle and business winning phases (Bids, proposals, negotiation plans, customer relationship building, agreements and contracts)
  • Experience of cross functional working
  • Knowledge of commercial risk, import and export and security regulations
Desirable

  • Experience of working with international markets
  • Experience of working with multiple types of contracts including technology, software and infrastructure

The Commercial Team:

This role involves influencing business and commercial strategies, and business winning.

This role will do this through pioneering new contracting approaches and innovative business models, meticulously preparing and submitting proposals, and skilfully negotiating agreements in support of the Future Combat Air System.

This opportunity presents the potential to delve into the digital, software, and infrastructure facets of the program.
