Job Description:


Legal and General's retail protection business is currently looking to hire a Lead Tester on a permanent basis to drive successful project delivery through collaboration with the Product and Scrum teams to ensure business needs are met through innovative test definition and execution.


This role will see you manage and work closely with the test analyst to define, document and implement testing strategies to ensure that software provided to customers is not only working correctly but that it's efficient and meeting governance frameworks.


What you'll be doing

  • Creating and executing quality test plans that deliver the required validation of functionality via a risk based approach to ensure testing is prioritised appropriately across a number of projects.
  • Where applicable, leading a team of business SMEs for the execution of tests to evidence and ensure delivery meets the specified acceptance criteria for implementation.
  • Delivering effective and timely communication, providing expertise from the perspective of the role to stakeholders including Product Manager, Product Owners, and Scrum team. Ensuring risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies are raised and escalated as appropriate.
  • Defining and delivering appropriate testing approach, ensuring effective test preparation and execution has been delivered and evidenced for sign off ahead of implementation.
  • Understanding the principles of Business Technology & Transformation and translating these principles into business/people change activities and project outcomes to meet business objectives.
  • Proactively working with both business and 3rd party testers to ensure coverage across all test stages is adequate.
  • Designing and developing of products and propositions that meet the needs, characteristics, and objectives of customers in an identified target market.
  • Managing the team in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, including the Partnership Agreement, so that the team's business objectives are achieved consistently.

Qualifications:


  • IT degree educated desirable but not essential, or suitable comparable/ demonstrable role experience and capability.
  • Analysis background, previous test experience and suitable project management, service management, test or agile qualifications desirable
  • Good knowledge of change delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of proven analysis tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in a Test Analyst role.
  • Proven ability in either agile or waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of best practice.
  • Stakeholder management experience to Managing director Level
