Private Credit Reporter

LevFin Insights, a Fitch Solutions Company, seeks a Private Credit Reporter based out of our London office


LevFin Insights (LFI) provides news and commentary on the global leveraged finance markets to customers in banking, fund management, credit research and legal services.

As well as high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, structured finance and special situations, we also track news and developments in the private credit market.

Now we're looking for a reporter to help build our European coverage of this rapidly-growing area of the debt market.

We'll Count On You To

  • Build a network of sources to deliver exclusive, sourcedriven, realtime news
  • Identify market trends and write timely insight pieces for a specialist audience
  • Collaborate with other reporters and with complementary teams within Fitch Solutions, such as Covenant Review and CreditSights
  • Represent LFI at conferences and other industry events

What You Need To Have

  • A drive to break news in a private, even secretive, market
  • Resilience and excellent interpersonal skills to build the necessary relationships with sources
  • Attention to detail, good time management, strong writing skills
  • Curiosity about how financial structures work and what makes people in the market tick

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • A history of uncovering stories and scoops in a previous beat
  • An enthusiasm for leveraged and/or private credit, and a solid basic understanding of the concepts
  • Any experience of, and sources in, corporate credit markets, particularly private credit

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
