Counted Recruitment are currently recruiting an
Accounts Assistant for a great
Manufacturing business based in
Aston. This role will see you play a crucial role in a fantastic finance team

Main duties of this
Accounts Assistantrole include:

  • Responsibility for bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Correct any variances between the bak and general ledger are dealt with within good time
  • Ensure strong communication is held with stakeholders so that and queries can be solved
  • Place bank statements into the reconciliation tool daily
  • Ensure that any payments or receipts that are without location are tracked and resolved
  • Ensure that any journals related to bank account entries are posted into the finance system
  • Process any manual payments requests from the business and ensure they are posted to the general ledger in a timely manner
  • Responding to bank queries and updating bank mandates
  • Provide a response regarding any queries or requests from the business
  • Ensure that all company billed credit card transactions are logged onto the system
  • Record payments and receipts made via the cash pooler/Payment On Behalf Of (POBO) system onto OPGL
  • Support with internal and external audit requests
  • Ad hoc duties

Location / Office / Hours


The office is based just outside Aston in Birmingham and has a structure of 4 days in the office and 1 from home.

What we are looking for


This role is ideal for someone studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA or finishing AAT qualification and manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
