We are looking for a Construction buyer based in the Bristol area.

As a Buyer within our commercial team, you will manage the commercial resources of the assigned.

project to maximise delivery of the project to budget. You will also support the Project team with

Commercial expertise and Client/Subcontract/Supplier relationships.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager and Commercial Director, you will have proven experience as a successful Buyer with experience in the refurbishment sector.

You will have the ability to take a

project on from tender stage through to completion, delivering on all commercial aspects for the

business. You will need to be motivated.

You will need to bemotivated, with the ability to work independently, with a minimum of a degree/HNC in Construction Management Quantity Surveying or similar and have previous workplace experience in a commercially focused environment.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in a team, providing support, experience, and

professional advice to ensure the successful delivery of a project.

General Requirements:

Good working knowledge and experience of construction and buying practices
Fully IT literate in MS office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Able to travel at short notice
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Core Skills:

Providing prices for tendering for materials/plant/subcontract works included in project.

plans and drawings.

Identifying potential suppliers and new products.

Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible

Liaising closely with the commercial team from tender to project completion to ensure

accurate project costs.

Supporting Subcontract procurement, Supplier/Plant agreements

Liaising closely with our Accounts and Purchase order teams.

Ensuring compliance with safety, health, sustainability, and environmental requirements.

Working with the project team and liaising with design team as appropriate.

Attending monthly meetings and report back on project procurement on each project.

Working in line with the company's ISO system.

Pay:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
