The Opportunity
Assistant Underwriter
Manchester / Hybrid
Full Time / Permanent positions - 35 hours per week
Monday - Friday; 9-5pm

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Underwriter to join our established and experienced team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

Your Role

As an Assistant Underwriter, you will collaborate with insurance brokers and other professionals across the UK to identify and secure new opportunities and support profitable growth by assessing the likelihood of future claims.

You will make risk-reduction recommendations on insurance premiums, and draft contracts.

Your responsibilities will include issuing policies and processing premiums.

You will provide excellent customer service by learning your customers' needs, explaining technical information, and convincing them of the benefits of our products.

In addition, you will be dealing with highly detailed queries from customers and engaging with the relevant stakeholders and departments.

About You

You will be passionate and motivated with a hardworking, 'can do' attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

You will have a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail.

We are ideally looking for someone who has financial or insurance experience and is able to demonstrate their passion for delivering world-class customer service.
