Job Brief
As a specialist supplier of materials used in the aerospace industry it is vital that Sil-Mid Limited maintains adequate and appropriate documentation libraries, and conducts risk assessments on product data, to ensure the business operates in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
Responsibilities
Docushare Maintenance:
- Add, Edit and Maintain Collections in the Docushare system.
- Add, Review and Update Documents held in the Docushare Collections.
- Provide support and assistance to all internal departments with update and review of documents on Docushare.
- Add value added information and documents into Docushare.
Document Management & Control
- Convert and stamp nonPDF documents to PDF format before updating
- Track and record version numbers and review dates from documents
- Cross reference key document information with internal systems and part codes
- Ensure good policy for document management
- Maintain the Safety Data Sheet Library as guided by the Quality Manager
- Maintain the Technical Data Sheet Library as guided by the Quality Manager
- Assist in ERP database maintenance
- Liaise with suppliers and outside companies to obtain current versions of required documents using their websites or other resources.
Product Risk Assessments
- Review SDS information against current Legislation and Regulations
- Input product date into the PIM (Product Information Matrix)
- Identify any potential risks associated with placing the product onto the market.
- Update product information in the ERP database
What we're looking for
- Strong administration skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail
- Excellent team player, with a positive 'can do' attitude
- Previous experience working with a document management system is desirable, but not essential
Job Types:

£25,000.00 per year
