Job Brief


As a specialist supplier of materials used in the aerospace industry it is vital that Sil-Mid Limited maintains adequate and appropriate documentation libraries, and conducts risk assessments on product data, to ensure the business operates in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.

The Compliance Administrator will work to maintain and update the Document Management System and conduct product compliance assessment.


Responsibilities

Docushare Maintenance:


  • Add, Edit and Maintain Collections in the Docushare system.
  • Add, Review and Update Documents held in the Docushare Collections.
  • Provide support and assistance to all internal departments with update and review of documents on Docushare.
  • Add value added information and documents into Docushare.

Document Management & Control

  • Convert and stamp nonPDF documents to PDF format before updating
  • Track and record version numbers and review dates from documents
  • Cross reference key document information with internal systems and part codes
  • Ensure good policy for document management
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet Library as guided by the Quality Manager
  • Maintain the Technical Data Sheet Library as guided by the Quality Manager
  • Assist in ERP database maintenance
  • Liaise with suppliers and outside companies to obtain current versions of required documents using their websites or other resources.

Product Risk Assessments

  • Review SDS information against current Legislation and Regulations
  • Input product date into the PIM (Product Information Matrix)
  • Identify any potential risks associated with placing the product onto the market.
  • Update product information in the ERP database

What we're looking for

  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail
  • Excellent team player, with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Previous experience working with a document management system is desirable, but not essential

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

£25,000.00 per year
