Content Strategist (Planner)

from £50,000 - one year fixed termUK based, hybrid, 1-2 days in the office in Slough.


Over the past 8 years the Team6ix have successfully partnered with some of the world's largest and most successful Brands and Agencies, delivering enterprise scale technology and marketing transformation programs across sectors such as, FMCG, Pharma, Telco, Retail, Travel, Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, Automotive, Utilities, Public Sector, Marketing & Advertising Agencies and Technology Vendors.


In the last 2 years they have focused on rapidly expanding of their offering and have successfully acquired new Global clients and provide a mix consulting, marketing services and resourcing placements.

This role is for one of their biggest Global FMCG clients.

  • The pitch:_ The global content strategist planner will work within and collaborate with a team of 7 Communication Strategists at our FMCG client. The global Content Strategist's
    primary responsibility will be to help the Communication Strategists translate brand strategies into future facing impactful Communications plans (aka brand 'Habitats') with an underpinning content strategy.


The person will work across a portfolio of 13 global powerbands within the core business units of our client's portfolio.


This is a global role, and the person will be familiar with the different levels of market maturity, market nuances regarding consumer behaviour, and content / platform preferences.


Job Type:
Fixed term: 12 months contract initially (with Team 6ix).


Salary:
According to level of experience.

The person should be highly experienced with developing content strategy recommendations which include the following
deliverables and outputs:

  • Social video, eCommerce (occasionally), identified influencer(s) (if appropriate) content recommendations that are anchored within the brand strategy
  • Insight led evidence that supports (consumer lifestyle, media consumption, content preferences, content 'need' gap analysis)
  • Formats / aspects / creative treatment / copy / CTA activation by platform
  • Storyboarding that sell the idea or concept to stakeholders
  • Accompanying calendars phased by assets with suggested media investment
  • Briefing documents to inspire creative development teams and with sufficient executional details to guide production teams

Must have expertise and
knowledge of:

  • Working within a communication / creative planning process
  • Industry standard insight tools (social listening, platform analytics)
  • Performance of different types of assets / formats by content platform based on industry best practice
  • Industry trends so they relate to consumers and content
  • Ability to present content ideas with clarity and imagination
  • Design skills would be helpful
  • Working with creative and production teams (knowledge of production process)
  • Some knowledge of CRM and 1st party data
  • A collaborative, team player
  • Ability to translate insight into a content recommendation
  • A creative thinker who can ideate and think on their feet
  • Eye for detail with practical understanding of how to steward ideas into execution
  • Ability to present in front of senior stakeholders
  • Fun loving with a good sense of humour
