Description
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic individual for the position of Finance Officer at PHX Training. This position is fast paced and extremely rewarding for the right individual.


As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting our Finance department on completion of all tasks involved in all financial aspects of all our contracts.


The post is based in the centre although there may be a need to travel from time to time for meetings in other centres across Cumbria and Lancs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and finance queries
  • Prepare external finance audit and supporting paperwork
  • Assisting with administrative support where required
  • Coordinating and monitoring general ordering for contracts
  • Responsible for some aspects of Payroll reporting
  • Reconciliation and management of Petty Cash and Staff Expenses on a monthly basis
  • Review and monitor profit and loss accounts leading to monthly meetings with Business Managers to discuss any overspends to support us to achieve financial budgets
  • Build strong and productive working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensure key weekly/monthly reporting is on time and 100% accurate
  • Invoices ensuring all invoices are appropriately dealt with in the time scale required

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience using QuickBooks or a similar system
  • Must have an above average knowledge of excel and be confident in its use
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
