About us

The role

  • Medivet are recruiting for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our IT team on a permanent, full time basis.
  • Working in a fast paced environment
  • Our IT function is currently evolving, led by our new Chief Information Officer, so if you are looking for a fast paced environment with exposure to process changes, this role will offer great opportunity for you to build on your existing skills and experience.
  • This vacancy is due to internal promotion and you will have excellent career prospects, as our IT team continues to grow.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide technical support, responding to all first line investigations and IT Support issues
  • Log and assign, with detail, categorisation and prioritisation, all incident and service requests.
  • Provide excellent professional customer service and being proactive dealing with customers.
  • Basic Server Administration (file shares, permissions, 365/Exchange)


  • Active directory

  • User Creation, Amendment, Deletion, Assignment
  • Basic diagnosis of telephony systems
  • Utilising and updating the Knowledge Base
  • Other Support related activities when required

Skills and experience
Essential;

  • Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to identify root cause
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • A demonstrable passion for customer service and personal development
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must be flexible in their approach projects undertaken
  • Sound organisational ability and able to prioritise and document workload
Desirable;

  • Proven track record with troubleshooting and delivering an excellent service to key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools
  • Able to motivate the yourself and the team in a structured, supportive and proactive manner, working to KPIs and SLAs
  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant qualifications advantageous
