Head of Trading & Yield (Hybrid)


Dnata Travel Group are on the search for an exceptional Head of Trading & Yield to head up our Travel Republic brand, based in Kingston Upon Thames.


About the role:


As Head of Trading & Yield you'll be working closely with senior management across the organisation to develop and deliver a strategy for the attainment of the Company's trading goals, deliver or beat the Company's profit targets as set in the annual budget.


Develop and direct a high-performance ecommerce trading insight team to provide data driven analysis, insight and actionable recommendations to drive trading performance.

Develop and deliver a sophisticated pricing and yield management system to exploit all margin opportunities.


Work with the Travel Republic internal supply organisation teams to grown accommodation, flights, attractions and other ancillary product revenue streams.

Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies to deliver and beat the profit targets of the business.


Partner with the Travel Republic digital product & ecommerce team to drive a frictionless customer experience online, maximising conversion rates and marketing efficiency.

These brands are based at offices across the UK including Preston (Leyland), Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester and Halifax.


Responsibilities:


  • Delivery the trading profit (C1) target for the business
  • Support the commercial supply organisation to produce business plans for accommodation, flights, attractions and ancillary products to grow and deliver trading profit
(C1) targets

  • Deliver a customer first approach which translates into driving incremental revenue and
Profitability

Develop strategies to meet varying demand, anticipating consumer demand trends and understanding the competitive landscape and respond to external factors to ensure trading objectives are attained

  • Develop and deliver regular trading insight, sharing this information with stakeholders across the business to enable informed decision making.
  • Provide competitor and wider market research analysis and insight to identify growth opportunities
  • Work closely with the traffic team to optimise marketing investment to deliver ROI targets consistent with the overall revenue and profit targets of the Company. Triage traffic
  • Work closely with the TR digital Product & eCommerce team and provide online trading insight into development roadmaps, exploit merchandising opportunities and the alignment of commercial and product strategies
  • Work across the wider group to help deliver revenue and contribution enhancement strategies

Qualification:


  • Educated to degree Level or relevant commercial experience.

Experience:


  • Operated at a senior level
  • Online Travel /and or/ Tour operation experience leading a trading ecommerce team
  • Strong management and developmental skills
  • Project management experience
  • Delivering change in a large organisation.

Skills and Knowledge:


  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong conflict management and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong commercial instinct and the ability to think strategically
  • Highly numerate with highly developed excel and data management abilities Collaborative, positive, cando mindset
