Description

To provide business management, administrative and operational support to the Volunteer Management Team within the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust.

This is a key role to ensure efficient and effective support to the volunteer team. Which includes preparing monthly/quarterly compliance reports, overseeing business developments, providing support to projects, and undertaking specific tasks as directed. The post holder will deliver the administrative function, ensuring comprehensive administration, as well as keeping up to date governance records for all volunteers, which may contain sensitive and confidential information


The post holder will also support the development and implementation of a range of initiatives within the volunteer team, which will impact upon the whole organisation.

The duties and responsibilities listed below are not intended to be exhaustive but are set out to indicate the main areas of activity currently expected.

The post holder will, therefore, be expected to adopt a flexible approach when the needs of the service require.

Act as the main link for the Volunteer Management Team and our volunteers across the Trust


Communicate compliance, governance and performance information effectively with internal and external stakeholders using tact and diplomacy where persuasion or negotiation may be required.


Establish and maintain effective communication methods and working relationships with a wide range of people across the Directorate, the Trust, external stakeholders and volunteers across Wales.

Organise and administer specific aspects of the function as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
