Established in 2010 and situated in the heart of London, our client supplies exclusively designed uniforms to establishments operating at the luxury end of the market.

They have an impressive portfolio of clients including luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, beauty and leisure spas and luxury retail brands.


The role

  • You will work from the studio based in the South Bank so must live within a commutable distance (5 days a week).
  • Reporting to the Senior Designer and providing support across all design aspects.
  • Assisting the Senior Designer in crafting unique design concepts, which might involve visiting clients onsite, exploring galleries, and utilizing libraries.
  • Supporting the Senior Designer in translating the client brief quickly and producing of visual mood and concept boards for presentation to the client.
  • Writing clear and concise sentences that can articulate the concept for design presentations.
  • You will have a good sense of colour, print and graphics.
  • Contributing to fabric sourcing under the guidance of the Senior Designer, presenting fabric and trim choices, along with associated details such as pricing, minimum quantities, and technical specifications.
  • Creating the design spec CAD's for tech packs.
  • As a multiproduct junior designer, you'll work across a diverse array of fabric bases, with a strong emphasis on tailoring.
  • Work closely with the Pattern Cutter, Commercial and Product Development teams, as well as the CEO and COO to achieve objectives set.
  • You will have the ability to work from spreadsheets and translate information given to you in numbers and descriptions into a uniform range that would work across multiple areas of a hotel.
  • Being responsible for creating concepts and range boards from a predesigned range, to sell in the Collection to clients.
  • Supporting the Senior Designer in meeting key deadlines and ensuring that design work aligns with the critical path.
  • This role requires a confident grasp of the historical routes and reasons behind tailoring, enabling the designer to authentically create designs relevant for today.
  • A person with a mature outlook and understanding.
  • Proficient in putting together visual presentations (decks), with advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong visual/concept researcher with the ability to uncover the essence of a client's identity and values.
  • Delivering weekly presentations to stakeholders and decisionmakers, requiring confident presentation skills.
  • Passion and excitement for the job
  • Highly skilled and speedy in producing design specification CADs and tech packs using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Capable of designing simple prints and proficient in editing existing print files.
  • Able to work across multiple garment types including accessories.
  • Experience of designing commercially and understanding cost.
  • Indepth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production methods.
  • Attend fittings and responsible for communicating fit notes and updating sketches.
  • Highly organised with great time management skills.
  • Enjoy travelling and visiting clients on site.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Accept constructive criticism.
  • Happy to take direction and contribute actively within a dynamic team.
  • Hands on attitude. Not just doing your role but doing any task requested outside of design.
  • The role is highly diverse, and we handle multiple projects simultaneously. Therefore, it is crucial for the junior designer to be adaptable, flexible, and capable of prioritizing tasks within their deadlines.
