Our client is a successful professional services business, based in Birmingham. Due to their continued growth, they now have anew opportunity for an Audit Manager to join the business to work across a variety of client groups and deliver effectiveaudit assignments.

About the role

This role would suit an Audit Senior looking for their next career step, or an Audit Manager looking to join a forward-thinking firm.

Reporting to the Directors and Partners, the Audit Manager will lead a team of junior staff in the production of assignments,as well as providing review and advice for clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong working relationships;
Planning, executing and finalising audit assignments;
Assisting with the development of systems and procedures;
Offering leadership and guidance to junior team members, and undertaking appraisals and career development plans;
Reviewing audit files and completing in line with best auditing practice;
Providing advice to clients where actions and improvements are required;

The person will have good time management skills and be conscientious to deliver high-quality results. They will be confident in challenging existing ways of working and in developing junior team members.
