Place

Hours: 37 hours a week

Contract Type:
Permanent

Location:
The Council House/Hybrid Working

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a team of Property professionals managing the Council's property portfolio of over 1400 assets.

You will have an incredibly varied workload and an opportunity to ensure the Estate meets the everchanging needs of the Councils service requirements and to generate income through the granting of leases and the disposal of surplus assets.

This post is based within the Council's busy Estates function and the successful applicant would have a wide and varied case load to deliver on and would be expected to be a self-starter and able to work under their own initiative.

  • RICS exempting Degree/Qualification in Estates Management or equivalent.
  • Previous working experience in a professional property environment.
  • You must be service focussed and have a positive constructive working style.
  • You must have had dealings with the management of property including rent reviews, lease renewals, taking leases etc.
  • You need experience in a broad range of properties for valuation, acquisition and disposal purposes.

Whilst the Team is based at the Council's main officers in the centre of Derby it currently works on a hybrid basis.

This involves being in the office a minimum of one day a week of which Monday is presently compulsory.
For the remainder of the week staff can work from home.

However, given the nature of the job, inspections of sites and visits to Council building are expected to be undertaken as required.

In addition, some meetings may need to be conducted on a face-to-face basis.
