- £23,175**
Main Purpose

To support customers with housing, council tax and financial issues, we will provide a dedicated advisor working across 6 Sheffield jobcentres, delivering one face-to-face support session per participant (45-minutes-1-hour), from 09/01/2023-09/06/2023, tohelp customers with financial management and removal of barriers to enable them to move closer to work.

Financial Advice/Guidance:

Basic Money management principles (organising finances/categorising spending/reducing debt/income versus expenditure/planning/goal setting etc.)
Budgeting skills for shopping/managing on a reduced income
Identify priority bills/understanding financial responsibilities (late payment penalties/living expenses/prioritising essentials over nonessentials/importance of budgeting/tracking spending etc.)
Cost of living Crisis support (council tax support/discretionary relief, help available for utility bills, mortgage/rent support etc.)
Developing budgeting skills including:
Creating a spending diary
Money saving tips
Pension planning: using online pension calculators.
Online money management tools (savings estimators, 'cut acks' calculators etc.)
Explore common debt traps/spending pitfalls.
Advice on resolving debt problems, negotiating with creditors/discussing and agreeing manageable repayment plans/postponement of debt)
