HGV Mechanic

Location:
Longcross, Chertsey

Travel:
On Site

Rate:
£16.50 per hour (Overtime available)

Hours: 45 per week (8AM-5PM Monday to Friday)
HGV Mechanic required for an expanding vehicle hire company focused on TV and movie productions based in Longcross, Chertsey.

This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation providing service vehicle hire for television and film productions based in both the UK and Europe.

This is the perfect role for an experienced mechanic to join andsupport their mechanics team.

HGV Mechanic responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Vehicle inspections to both FTA and DVSA standards
Repairs, fault finding and servicing of commercial trailers and vehicles
Preparations of MOTs to DVSA standards
Servicing vehicles to vehicle manufacturing standards
Completing the relevant paperwork and ensuring that all the work you undertake is compliant
Using diagnostic equipment

HGV Mechanic requirements & experience:

2 years + experience as a HGV mechanic
City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 certificates or equivalents with experience
IT literate
Great written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of computer and fleet diagnostics
Being punctual along with great organising skills
Ability to work autonomously
Driving license and own vehicle
HGV license (Desirable)
