Contracted Hours: 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off (days & nights) average of 56 hours per week
Role:
You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. This is a fundamental aspect of the role
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
- Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided
- All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood and followed
- Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation
- Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
- Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people and challenges
- Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
- Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct
SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
- Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
- Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
- Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
- Rotation on different posts where required
- Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors with their queries
- Respond to alarms
- Key Control
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
- Develop and maintain positive interactive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients
- Building patrols. Patrolling internal and external areas of the assignment checking for good housekeeping, building faults or health and safety issues.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.

- Selfconfidence and an interest in selfdevelopment.
- Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
- Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
- Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
- Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
- Valid SIA frontline security licence
- Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain and develop further in this field.
- Operation of any CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice
- Previous experience of the security industry and / or within the hospitality sector or corporate environment
- Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment
