- **Overall Job Scope**The role of Sourcing and Technical Support is to actively procure biospecimens to customer specifications and to facilitate the Customer Service and Logistics team in providing the highest level of service. This individual will report directly to the Sourcing Team Leader and their primary goals are to liaise with other BioIVT units on the sourcing of non-standard enquiries alongside procurement from external sources. Resolving any queries or need for clarification on more complex projects by discussion with the customer directly and by using internal resources and expertise. They will be responsible for providing feedback to the senior management team and offering strategic solutions for improvements within the role.
- **Activities, Duties and Responsibilities*

• Providing in depth scientific support to the customer service and sales team
• Develop an extensive understanding of the company's substantial products and services portfolio
• Liaise with operations, order management and customer service at BioIVT sites to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer requirements on custom and disease state projects.
• Responsible for the procurement of products from external suppliers to get estimates and supply of materials to fulfill orders.
• Proactively follow up with suppliers to answer technical, pricing and availability queries
• Negotiate the best value for BioIVT with both customers and suppliers
• Reviewing market trends and assisting the Procurement Manager with the management of consignment stock
• Work with laboratory personnel to organise reworks of material when required.
• Assist in the management and planning of large longterm projects
• Responsible for ensuring all Supplier information is up to date and work with Quality Assurance to ensure all suppliers are approved.
• Responsible for updating CST and DL teams on delivery dates including any changes.
• Plan and prioritize work tasks to ensure efficient turnaround times including reviewing existing protocols and procedures and improve where necessary
• Report metrics to senior management team
• Identify training needs

General

• Ensure that customer and product information is entered accurately into the company's IT databases and CRM's.
• Actively assist the Quality Assurance Team to report, record, investigate and take corrective action to ensure that the Company's policies and procedures are implemented and evolved with changing needs.
• To actively protect company information, customer confidentiality and the security of staff and the business premises.

• To assist the Management Team with all reasonable requests.

• Bachelor's degree in life science or biomedical science
• Experience within the biopharmaceutical or medical industries (not required but a big plus)
