Please note that all staff will have to pass a drug and alcohol test (and be happy to be re-tested occasionally) and also undergo a Disclosure Scotland (DBS) clearance.
The company has a strict anti drugs and alcohol policy and conduct random drug and alcohol tests for 2-3 staff every day.
The start times for the roles will be between 4am-6am and you will be completing around 50 hours per week on average.
The pay rate for the first 48 hours weekly is £12.50 per hour, overtime after 48 hours weekly will be paid at £18.75 per hour.
Please note that the roles are very physical and 60% of your day will be spent loading and unloading the products.
As a Drivers Mate, your duties will include:
- Supporting the driver in his role
- Manual loading and unloading all the training will be provided
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Using PODs
- Liaising with the depot and customers over the phone and face to face
- Providing excellent customer service
- Positive "can do" attitude
- Physical fitness
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Good customer service skills and willingness to represent client's values
- Good level of spoken English
