    Youth Suicide Prevention Worker Opportunity at New Horizons

    New Horizons is a trusted leader in delivering impactful, community-focused support across New South Wales. We are a not-for-profit dedicated to creating a compassionate society where everyone can thrive. Our mission is to empower lives and create lasting change.

    We're working in partnership with the NSW government to combat suicide in children and young people. The i.am program is an award-winning psychosocial mental health program co-produced with young people with lived experience of suicidality.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to the Towards Zero Suicides initiative. As a Youth Suicide Prevention Worker within the i.am program, you'll play a vital role in empowering young people to navigate their mental health journeys and build resilience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Foster trusting relationships with young people and their families in a safe and inclusive environment.
    • Deliver trauma-informed psychosocial support and assess individual needs.
    • Develop support plans aligned with each young person's goals and connect them to relevant resources.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external organisations to deliver integrated care.
    • Participate in case reviews and team meetings to strengthen outcomes for young people.

    About You:

    We're seeking compassionate professionals who are passionate about making a difference in young people's lives. To succeed in this role, you'll need relevant qualifications and experience supporting young people in mental health settings.
