About the role


As a
H&S Advisor you will support the power infrastructure upgrades for the UK's National Transmission Network, ensuring the continued supply of power to London and the South East of England.


The role will initially be based at our Littlebrook Substation project in Dartford, but will also include various visits to other sites around the Uckfield area.


What you'll be doing

  • Active site presence and safety leadership.
  • Provide H&S support and advice to the project/business area.
  • Actively displaying & promoting our enduring commitment to Zero Harm
  • Engaging and supporting the workforce to reduce risks
  • Developing open and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Accurately record & review local H&S event data
  • Encourage the creation of an open and positive safety culture
  • Promote safe behaviours and values on site and lead by example at all times.
  • Provide onsite engagement, coaching and support on all H&S matters

Who we're looking for

  • Membership of a relevant professional body (IOSH/IEMA) or working towards
  • Educated to NEBOSH Diploma or National Compliance and Risk Qualifications (NCRQ)Diploma
  • Incident investigator/fact finder or working towards
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Relevant experience matched with their project/business area.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, approachable & dependable
  • Good communicator with influencing and persuasion skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic team player
