Fixed Term - 24 Months - 35 hours per week
**This is a full time position but a split hours contract/job share will be considered

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the design and delivery of high quality post-experience executive learning for client organisations and groups of individuals in the area of climate change and sustainability.

The Opportunity:


This role will play a key role in supporting the design and delivery of post-experience executive learning on behalf of the Centre for Business, Climate Change and Sustainability (B-CCaS) at the University of Edinburgh Business School.

As such, you will be engaging with clients and stakeholder groups to understand their learning requirements; partnering with faculty from across B-CCaS, the Business School and wider University to understand and engage with areas of expertise; delivering teaching on areas of your expertise; and working closely with the Executive Development on the delivery of high quality learning programmes.

We are looking for someone who is established in their field, has extensive teaching or research experience within that field, has a broad understanding of the requirements of leaders and businesses in the future, and a passion for inspiring and enabling change in line with the Business School's broader mission.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Proven ability to devise and/or manage multiple teaching, learning and assessment and/or research activities
  • Experience of designing effective learning programmes and developing teaching methods and approaches, ideally for a postexperience market
  • Evidenced ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of seniority, both internally and externally, verbally and in written form
  • Proven ability to contribute to the effective management of resources
  • Skill in managing, motivating and supporting clients, learners and colleagues Excellent interpersonal, people management, negotiations, influencing and time management skills

The Executive Education function sits in the Executive Development Team alongside the MBA team and is responsible for the development and delivery of open enrolment short courses and custom programmes for individual clients.

Delivery of Executive Education can be in-person, online, small cohorts or at scale.

Programmes can also be for credit (macro-credentials like Postgraduate Certificates, Diplomas and Masters) or not-for credit (including short courses and micro-credentials).

The flexibility of delivery means that it is often a test bed for teaching innovations, new lines of enquiry for research or the development of new relationships and collaborations.

This provides the context for a varied, high-impact, challenging and exciting blend of projects and clients.
