Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician

London

£75,000 per annum

A leading global business process management company is looking for a Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician to support their client, a Lloyd's syndicate insurance business based in London.

This international specialty insurer and reinsurer, will have you supportingon everything post bond, including Risk Capture Data, payment of premium, calculation of adjustments, calculation of prop treaties, calculation of written & earned calculation of claims, and all associated credit control.

Skills required & main duties of the role:

A good understanding of XOL, treaty and Facultative contracts.
Operational aspects of recoveries (events & cats).
A strong understanding of reinsurance processing platforms, with the ability to create manual technicals for both premium & claims.
A good understanding of the ceding process.
Strong knowledge of the downstream financial impact and processes such as ledger, credit control, reporting etc.
Good knowledge of the operational aspect of recoveries.
Regulatory and SII reporting requirements.

Further skills:

Experience working within the Lloyds insurance space and a history of working in ceded operations.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Confidence using MS Excel, MS Word and other MS packages.
Effective written and communication in order to liaise effectively with wider teams.
