Job Summary

What is the opportunity?


The role is to work for RBC BlueBay Asset Management, which offers a comprehensive range of solutions and services to clients and investors.

You will be joining the Operations team as an Operations Associate working in the Securities Support team in the Operations department.


You will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the department as a whole and be involved in day-to-day projects and tasks as well as observe and learn from colleagues on more sensitive tasks.


What will you do?

  • Affirmation of all Fixed Income, Equity and Repo trades
  • Engage in daily checks to ensure business critical controls are being adhered to.
  • Help to implement improvement processes and controls to support the business.
  • Be involved in active cash management.
  • Develop an understanding of various global markets and recognise the differences and risks associated with each.
  • Liaise with other internal areas such as front office and finance, as well as external parties including prime brokers and custodians.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Demonstrable numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong capacity and desire to use initiative.
  • Ability to provide examples of a proactive approach to personal development.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial thinking alongside a positive, 'cando' attitude to all aspects of work.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Nice-to-have:


  • Experience with affirmation of trades
  • Experience with DTCC CTM, ALERT and Bloomberg
  • Fixed Income knowledge
