Thamesview preschool is looking for an enthusiastic,competent person with excellent Early Years skills to join an outstanding preschool

Hours-Term time only, 12-16 hours per week

Role:
Responsibility for Key group and updating planning of the EYFS and evaluations.
Ensuring all children are enabled to work towards their optimum development in a non discriminatory environment.
Responsible for supporting the team in the day to day running of the provision, ensuring safety and encouragement of the children and of maintaining high quality practice
Maintain children's records, registers, and maintaining other recording systems in line with Statutory requirements.

Support staff in their duties in absence of deputy or manager, and maintain a positive outlook and good relationships with parents and staff alike.

Encourage children in self care, independence, their caring for peers and the environment, good behavioural standards and setting a good example.

Excellent awareness of safeguarding issues and confident to act on.
SENco awareness and implementation.
To support the team in running. A friendly, professional pre school where all families are welcome.


Qualifications and experience:

Skills:
Understand the physical needs of a preschool and how to supply them.
The ability to organise and maintain safe working environments, and practices.
Be punctual, undertake responsibilities in line with the role, working under pressure and leading a busy and dedicated team.
Enjoy working with children, have a sense of fun, to be flexible, friendly and fair.
Maintain best practice, help to manage staff issues, leading the team when the manager is absent.
The ability to show diplomacy in difficult situations, instilling calm and positivity.

£10.50-£11.00 per hour
