Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a versatile and hardworking HGV Mechanic to join the PalmerSport team here at Bedford Autodrome.

This role will involve working within the Engineering team, maintaining our fleet of support vehicles that assist in the running of our cooperate PalmerSport events.

This role will involve working on a fleet of buses, class one vehicles, land rover defenders and a plethora of vans and maintenance vehicles.

Jobs duties will include:

Maintaining to the highest standards and preparing the PalmerSport support vehicle fleet
Conducting thorough inspections of our fleet vehicles on the completion of our corporate events
Work with our Engineering Team to determine the source of mechanical and electrical problems and work to solve issues efficiently and comprehensively
Complete job cards to a very high standard to detail a vehicle repair and service history
Report to the Workshop Supervisor with diagnosis and parts required to rectify
Complete diagnostic testing on the mechanical and electrical systems

You will be / have:

A good understanding of mechanical engineering with a recognised qualification i.e. City and Guilds
Previous experience working with HGVs
Full UK driving licence
Pride in your work and want to complete tasks to the best of your ability
A track record of meeting strict deadlines
