You will work closely with stakeholders across both Phoenix's Open and Heritage divisions and will play a key role in supporting Phoenix's strategic objectives to achieve significant organic growth.

As a project actuary you will also lead and support the development of internal trainee actuaries and analysts directly or in a matrix setting.

The role


You will work closely with stakeholders across both Phoenix's Open and Heritage divisions and will play a key role in supporting Phoenix's strategic objectives to achieve significant organic growth.

As a project actuary you will also lead and support the development of internal trainee actuaries and analysts directly or in a matrix setting.


You will also support other strategic change projects from across Phoenix Heritage division at times depending on prevailing priorities and may act as a business lead on certain projects.

What are we looking for?


We are looking for an experienced qualified actuary with at least 2 years' post-qualified experience and a strong track record of delivery in a commercial environment.

Someone who is keen to learn quickly in a changing environment, knowledge of financial reporting metrics, including SII and IFRS is highly desirable, as is experience of working in actuarial change delivery.


You will have an ability to build strong relationships and drive action through strong collaboration across boundaries, combined with experience and ability to influence and communicate effectively SMEs and senior stakeholders across the business.


Knowledge of how new savings and retirement products are developed and the key actuarial considerations for a life insurer's balance sheet is highly desirable, as is an understanding of how actuarial models, accounting systems and data infrastructure interact.
