We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work alongside our experienced staff and contribute to the growth and success of our students.
Position:
Teaching Assistant
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
Salary:
£75 - £85 per day
Role Responsibilities:
Work closely with our teaching team to provide tailored support to primary-aged young people with complex needs.
Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children can thrive.
Provide one-on-one and small group support during lessons and activities.
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to facilitate the holistic development of students.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and organised classroom setting.
Qualities and Experience:
While formal Teaching Assistant qualifications are not required, the following qualities and experience are desirable for success in this role:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school, nursery or care setting.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of students with complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing situations and individual student requirements.
- A commitment to learning and professional development in the field of special education.
