The School Finance Officer will have oversight of the basic accountancy functions such as:

  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes
  • Production and analysis of figures for the accountants for departmental heads
  • Auditing accounts
  • Invoices
  • Expenses claims
  • Payroll

The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience working in an administrative or accounting environment
  • Have a working knowledge of accounts payable/receivable in conjunction with PSF or equivalent accounting software
  • Possess the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines effectively whilst maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong system skills with confidence and experience in picking up new accountancy systems.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks Effective team working skills, including flexibility and adaptability.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work to monthly deadlines.
  • Awareness of and compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding and safe working practices, equal opportunities, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.
