The Opportunity


Finatal are currently working with a Private Equity Backed Sports Manufacturing business who are on the hunt for a Financial Controller.

At the start of their Private Equity life cycle, the business seeks to expand their market share and grow internationallythrough expansion into AIPAC and the US.

The role will be pivotal in supporting the Head of Finance. This will be seen through providing key financial information pivotal to shaping and supporting their rapid expansion. Managing two direct reports the role will further be crucial in nurturing anddeveloping their role in the business.


The Role

  • Directly managing the Finance Assistant and credit controller.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all GL postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsibility for all consolidation reporting (management accounting, creditor reporting and KPI's)
  • Developing best in class Procuretopay and RecordtoReport processes.
  • Identifying areas for system improvements and automation.
  • Working with operational teams on performance, project profitability, cost control etc.
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process throughout the year.
  • Leading the process for the year end audits.
  • Supporting the systems implementation project of a new ERP.

Requirements:


  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who is preferably 24 years post qualified.
  • Experience in manufacturing/ ecommerce/ retail space.
  • Hands on, communicative approach with immaculate presentation skills
  • Ability to work with multiple teams across the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills multi tasking and prioritisation.
  • UK experience.
