Position Description

CGI Cyber Security Team in the UK is one of the largest Cyber consultancies in the UK with around 300 members.

The UK Cyber team works across a variety of domains including:
Government, Defence, Critical Infrastructure, Healthcare, Utilities, Banking and FinancialServices and Many more.

We offer full 360-degree services to our clients from initial consulting on a range of areas including Risk Assessments, Vulnerability Management, supporting clients through Accreditations such as (ISO27001, GDPR, NIST), GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance),Security Architectures and Secure Configuration consultancy, Incident Response, Protective Monitoring Services, Penetration Testing and much more.

We take clients through a journey to improve their overall security posture and maturity to ensure they feel reassured in the Security control, measures and systems we have put in place in line with their requirements.

To ensure the advice and outputs providea security context (associated controls and policies) that transparently support the client's business need whilst providing optimal Cyber Security for the environment.

Our roles are only available if you hold or fulfil the criteria to obtain a UK Security Clearance.
Your future duties and responsibilities

As a Security Architect with us you will consult on and design innovative solutions tailored to a deep understanding of our client's needs.

You will advise our clients on the architecture of their secure business systems. You'll be the design authority on programmesof works collaborating across enterprise architectures to produce end-to-end security designs.

Your knowledge and skills will be used to assist on bids, proposal for works, as well as on implementations and integrations.

You will also be expected to representus at senior stakeholder level and, as a Cyber Security expert, help to guide and influence our clients through their security issues to practical consultative solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Demonstrable significant experience of consulting on, and the delivery of, secure system design and implementation, ideally as a technical security lead.

All round technical security knowledge and able to explain the importance of why security must be partof everything our clients do.

You should also be able to demonstrate a complete understanding of the relationship of risk and security in the design of IT security solutions.

An effective communicator, both written and orally and be adept at persuasively presenting and justifying secure architecture design solutions.

You will be used to dealing with multiple client stakeholders both technical and non-technical and able to adaptyour approach as required for your audience.

Your technical knowledge and understanding should be evidenced with appropriate professional qualifications.

Key Skills:

  • Good, working knowledge of various security standards and frameworks.
  • Cloudbased Cyber Security Principles and architecture points.
  • Experience of delivering secure solutions against project expectations
  • Good awareness of industry best practice
  • Excellent communication and planning skills are required for this role

Useful experience:

  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks
  • MoD and HMG Cyber Security stanards
  • Technical knowledge including:
  • DevSecOps principles and/or implementations
  • Boundary controls and network segmentation and access control
  • Identity and Access Management (including RBAC and A/PBAC, permissions management), ZTA
  • Cryptographic techniques and implementations
  • IT Asset management and tracking
  • Vulnerability Management and Patching
  • SIEM principles, products and supporting logging infrastructure
  • Cloud
- based security

  • Containerisation and virtual machine security
  • A good all round knowledge of core infrastructure and systems
  • Experience of driving change in a complex environment.
