Our in-house Nurse will ensure you have the competencies and specialist training for your role.



Pay
:
£10.50 p/hr
(8pm-8am)

  • Working on shifts,
    paid from start to finish.
  • Fulltime hours available.

As a
Care Assistant
for the Complex &
Palliative
Care service, you will be supporting a
late 70s male to fulfil a high-quality life.

This individual has **Frontotemporal dementia
(FTD)** a rare form of dementia. He enjoys his daily walk, sometimes taking more than one stroll around the community. Other interests include reminiscing to old photographs and sharing stories. He would prefer someone who speaks softly and can appreciate his desire to remain independent whilst maintaining a routine. This role will mostly involve supporting with
personal care, medication and providing company.


Dementia care requires individuals who are experienced, dedicated, committed, and have a genuine will to make a difference. The goal is to make sure our customers' needs are met, where they feel most comfortable, within their own homes.
Our in-house Nurse will ensure you have the competencies and specialist training for your
role.
As a
Care Assistant working in
Walker (NE6)** you will agree to a week 1 and week 2 shift pattern, which includes:

  • Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday
  • 12hour Waking Night shifts

  • Fluids and nutrition.
  • Medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid.
